“Renovating historic buildings involves a myriad of challenges including aesthetic concerns, structural issues, code compliance and constructibility. As a team member, Steve provided design leadership working collaboratively with Procon and the owner to develop shared vision and solutions. I have worked with many architects on numerous projects and with pleasure and confidence heartily recommend Steve Wilmot.” —Steve Undersahl, President, ProCon Professional Contractors

This project is the classic case of trying to put ten pounds of functionality into a five pound container. A cold-storage warehouse had its window openings unbricked, and that was just the beginning. The basement floor was removed and the 2X12 oak (yes oak) floor joists were re-purposed to build the basement bar, a custom wine rack, and the booth surrounds – beautiful ‘recycling’ on site.

The result was a basement bar & music venue along with restrooms and back of house functions. The first floor became restaurant, kitchen and main bar. On the second floor is a banquet hall with serving kitchen and restrooms, with the third floor dedicated to office space.
